Soma Bay

Soma Bay is also known as; Suma Bay and Catfish Bay.

The area was built in the late 20th century and continues to evolve.

It is an exclusive tourist district, 30 kilometrres from Hurghada airport and located on 'Cape Abu Soma'. It benefits from having a large variety of coral reefs. It also has a good golf course (one of two golf clubs in Egypt), that was opened in 2001.

The area is positioned away from busy roads and here you can find not only wonderful hotels, but private villas, houses and apartments.

The sea washes the area on three sides. Cape Abu Soma is a small island with stunning coral reefs and turquoise seas glistening in the sun.

People that work here, tend to be in the hospitality business. Everything related to construction, tourism, diving, surfing and kiting can be found in this area.

You can while away the evening, take a quiet romantic stroll on the beach or enjoy an excellent meal at a good restuarant. There are also a handful of small shops for everyday necessities.
