It is located on the shores of the Red Sea, near Egypt's oldest seaport - Safaga. El Quseir is located 75 km south of Safaga, 123 km from Hurghada and 70 km north of Marsa Alam airport.
The main attraction of El Quseir is its old fortress, located in the city.
