Egypt has what it takes to fiercely compete in the outsourcing industry and IT service provision, said Egyptian Communications and IT Minister Tarek Kamel.
Egyptian companies have gained considerable expertise in the field, enabling them to proceed with developing several sectors, including the health and transport ones, Kamel said.
This came during the opening of an extensive IT conference organized by Cisco Systems, the Egyptian Junior Businessmen Association (EJB) and the Egyptian Information Telecommunications and Software Alliance (EITESAL) under the title "Egypt as a Destination for Egypt."
Transport Minister Alaa Fahmi, addressing the conference, stressed the important role that IT companies and contact centres working in outsourcing can play in the coming phase in developing vital sectors in Egypt, such as transport.
The purpose of the conference is to educate, share best business practices and network amongst the key players serving the industry in the transport and health sectors.(SIS)
