Egyptian Investment Minister - Mahmoud Mohieddin met on Wednesday with the newly appointed Greek Ambassador to Egypt - Christodoulos Lazaris. They discussed means of boosting bilateral economic co-operation. 


The two sides also discussed ways of making use of the available investment opportunities in the field of tourism.

The Greek Ambassador referred to the measures taken by his Government to deal with the global financial crisis, asserting its success in withstanding the effects of the economic crisis.

The Greek Diplomat further said that his country is keen on attending the third Arab-Greek Economic Summit, slated for September in Athens.

Mohieddin, for his part, said that Egypt and Greece enjoy deep-rooted relations.

He went on to say that there are some 111 companies in Egypt enjoying Greek contributions and working in the fields of industry, services, tourism and construction.

On the other hand, Minister of International Co-operation -  Fayza Abul-Naga also held a meeting with Greek Ambassador to Egypt to discuss means of boosting bilateral economic co-operation.(SIS)
