Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry - Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed has said that Russia has agreed to review and re-schedule the previously contracted wheat deals with Egypt in October. 

Minister of Trade and Industry - Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed received a telephone call from Russian Deputy Premier - Viktor Zubkov on 9th August 2010, underling the keenness of the Russian government to have strategic relations with Egypt.

The Russian official said that a review of the wheat crop would be made early in October, so that they could draw up a plan for re-scheduling the Egyptian wheat contracts.  He expressed support for appointing a committee of Egyptian and Russian technicians to follow up a re-scheduling plan.

The Russian official said that Russia is interested in considering the Egyptian suggestions for implementing Russian wheat shipments, which have been contracted with a Supply Commodity Organization.
