Egyptian Minister of International Co-operation - Fayza Abul-Naga has signed a framework agreement with a group of EU development partners.

The deal aims to carry out a project to expand the national electricity network.

Under the agreement, the European partners will contribute 380 million euros.

In statements on Thursday 12/08/2010, Abul-Naga said that the project is being carried out as part of a strategy outlined by the Electricity and Energy Ministry to boost the power grid nationwide.
