Toad-fish near bottom dweller with a large and somewhat flattened head and mouth. Occurs in crevices or under coral ledges and rocks at depths ranging from 5 to 200 m.
Toad-fish feed on crustaceans and small fish. They nest in cavities, protecting deferred eggs. Well camouflaged, secretive.
