Usually found near the reefs. The depth habitat of 60 to 100 meters. Record copy: length 1,5 m, weight 22.9 kg

Pompano or Palometa (Trachinotus goodei), family stavridovyh has very long, the first rays of soft dorsal and anal fins. Dorsum coloration is dark blue. Boka gold with four vertical black stripes. Second dorsal and anal fins black.

The largest specimens are found in the Red Sea, the East African coast.
