Gobiidae

Red Sea - Reef - day - single / schooling - carnivores - snorkeling / scuba diving - 2 / 30 m depth

Gobies - this family has a huge number of fish more than 800 species distributed throughout the world. Very elongated shape and small body size, not exceeding 10 cm, allow them to hide from enemies in the small crevices and holes. Some species live in small flocks among the branches of stony corals. Other members of the family live in symbiosis with certain types of shrimp (Alpheidae). Sharing the home: crustaceans build burrows in the sand and thoroughly clean them, fish and protect them from the outside in case of need by finding them shelter.
