Cairo: Malaysian Group expresses interest in Egyptian train line

The Malaysian group Scomi is willing to partner with Orascom Group to establish an express train line linking Giza to 6th October City, assistant to the Minister of Investment Ibrahim Ashmawi told Al-Masry Al-Youm.
Officials from both companies convened several weeks ago but failed to finalize an agreement, Ashmawi said.
Scomi requested the ministry recommend a reputable local partner with transportation experience, the ministerial official added.
The train line is expected to cost an estimated LE250 million.
