Egypt, Ukraine Enhancing Cooperation in Petroleum, Gas, Mineral Resources

Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum Sameh Fahmi held a session of talks with Ukrainian Minister of Fuel and Energy Yuriy Boyko on the sidelines of meetings of the higher Egyptian-Ukrainian committee.
Fahmi said the talks were meant to implement directives of the prime ministers of the two countries about boosting cooperation between Egypt and Ukraine in the fields of petroleum, gas and mineral resources.
The Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif received his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Azarov in his office at the Smart Village to discuss means of boosting bilateral relations at the economic and trade levels.
The premiers also talked about regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Nazif has said that talks between Egypt and Ukraine were very fruitful.
The two countries have reached an agreement on the need for boosting bilateral cooperation in the economic sphere, Nazif said, adding that Ukraine enjoys a stable economic climate and a big industrial and technological base.
Addressing a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Azarov, Nazif underlined the depth of Egypt-Ukraine relations on all fronts.
Egypt and Ukraine share viewpoints regarding several international issues, the premier said.
Nazif and his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Azarov attended the signing of three bilateral cooperation agreements and protocols.
The inked documents covered ways to enhance cooperation in the higher education and research, economic and cultural fields.
