Egypt - Package of incentives to increase the exports to USD 36 billion

Minister of Trade and Industry Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed said the new measures will be put into force as of May.
He said the new measures include a new system that will depend on the use of local components to encourage local production and use local materials especially in the ready to wear clothes.
He said 30 exporting sectors depending mainly on local components will be chosen to benefit from the support extended.
Minister of Trade and Industry Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed issued a decision forming a steering committee for logistic services necessary for trade and industry with the aim of ramping up the efficiency of services and modernizing them.
The committee will propose plans and policies necessary to improve logistic infrastructure for trade to support Egypt’s exporting competitiveness in markets abroad.
The committee will coordinate with the ministries and quarters concerned on drafting its policies and plans needed for trade, industry and transport.
The committee will work to facilitate the delivery of Egypt’s exported goods to European and world ports.
