1- Issuing customs release letter for a consignment of hazardous chemicals

Documents required and executive procedures :
First: Customs release of chemicals consignment for industrial companies:
1 - Submitting an application to IDA to get approval of customs release (IDA's form) signed by the person concerned or his deputy (in accordance with an official proxy or authorization letter accredited by the bank).
2- Original of commercial register for review (a copy to be filed).
3- Original of industrial registry certificate for review (a copy to be filed).
4- Original of invoice for review (a copy to be filed).
5- Original or copy of the bill of lading stamped by the credit bank for review (a copy to be filed).
6- A copy of the Safety Data Sheet.
7- Original of the custom procedures certificate for the requested chemical to be reviewed (a copy to be filed).
8- Submitting an acknowledgement of the actual productive capacity for the previous year, signed by the person entitled to sign on behalf of the company recorded in the commercial registry & stamped by the bank.
9- Payment of the service cost (0.5% of invoice value in EGP - at a minimum of LE200 & maximum of LE5000) and the cost of sending the letter issued to customs authority by Express Mail.
Second: Customs release of chemicals consignment from a trading company for industrial companies:
1 - Submitting an application to IDA to get approval of customs release (IDA's form) signed by the person concerned or his deputy (in accordance with an official proxy or authorization letter accredited by the bank).
2- Original of the commercial register to be reviewed (a copy to be filed).
3- (Original of the industrial register of the company / companies for which the chemicals are imported, provided that these chemicals are included in the industrial compan/s production requirements (a copy to be filed).
4- Delivery order from the industrial company to the importing trading company.
5- Accredited letter from the industrial company addressed to IDA to deduct the imported quantity from its annual needs according to the quantities recorded in its industrial register.
6- A declaration from the industrial company of the actual productive capacity for the previous year and the consumption of these chemicals, signed by the person entitled to sign on behalf of the industrial company recorded in the commercial registry & stamped by the bank.
7- Original of the invoice for review (a copy to be filed).
8- Original or copy of the bill of lading stamped by the credit bank to be reviewed (a copy to be filed).
9- A copy of the Safety Data Sheet.
10- Original of the customs procedures certificate of the requested chemical for review (a copy to be filed).
11-Original of the license issued by the Industrial Control Department for establishing a storehouse of poisonous and non-poisonous chemicals used in industry and of the trading company (a copy to be filed).
12- Payment of the issued service cost (0.5% of the invoice value in EGP - at a minimum of LE200 & maximum of LE5000) and the cost of sending the letter issued to customs authority by Express Mail.
Third: Customs release of the industrial companies' annual needs:
1 - Submitting an application to IDA to get approval of customs release (IDA's form) signed by the person concerned or his representative (in accordance with an official proxy or authorization letter accredited by the bank).
2- Original of the industrial register certificate of the industrial company to be reviewed (a copy to be filed).
3- Original of the commercial register to be reviewed (a copy to be filed).
4- A copy of the invoice of a previous consignment of the same chemicals.
5- A copy of the Safety Data Sheet.
6- A declaration of the actual productive capacity for the previous year and the needs of chemicals approved by the person entitled to sign on behalf of the company recorded in the commercial registry & stamped by the bank .
7- Payment of the issued service cost (0.5% of invoice value in EGP - at a minimum of LE 200 & maximum of LE 5000).
