Alexandria

Alexandria is the second largest city in Egypt. It has two sea ports and is considered as the second capital of the north.

The city is named in honour of its famous founder - Alexander of Macedon, who began its construction in 332 BC.

In Alexandria, unlike other resort towns in Egypt, the sea is visible and accessible to all.  Alexandria stretches along two bays of the Mediterranean Sea for about 70 km.


There is a luxury town Quay which covers the entrance to the sea port and lasts about 20 kms.



InAlexandria, social manners are freer than in other Egyptian cities. Here you can see couples in love.  Favourite places to go are; the cityembankment, the palace and Montaza Park Complex.
