Taba is popular among tourists. In addition to the Egyptians here, Taba welcomes tourists from Israel, as Israelis can stay in Taba, Nuweiba and Sharm El-Sheikh without a visa for up to 14 days.
The city has several hotels including; Hilton, Mövenpick, Hyatt Regency, Marriott, Sofitel and Intercontinental. Tourists are attracted to Taba by free diving and scuba diving. There are three dive centres in Taba - Aqua Sport, Red Sea Waterworld and Werner Lau and they run PADI diving courses.
Taba also hosts a special type of desert golf course.
