Sakkala
Sakkala is situated in the city area of Hurghada. To accurately define the boundaries of this area is rather difficult. It runs along most of Sheraton Street. The southern part commences in Old Vic Square. The northern boundary starts in the administrative area of Dahar at Dolphin Square. The main sub areas of Sakkala are Hadaba, Sherry, El - Mina, the seaport, Aka Center Point and Marriott.
The most common names it is known by are: Al - Sakkala, Sakkala and Saal. In the heart of Sakkala, there is a fishing village. The views of experts about the true age of Hurghada are open for debate, but virtually all experts on the history of the city agree with the view that it is one of the most ancient settlements on the Red Sea. The first mention of a settlement on this site, is mentioned in approximately 50 A.D At this early time, the area was inhabited Roman legions. Over time, the descendants of Legionnaires became fishermen, who lived in the centre of Sakkala.
The area is abundant with a variety of hotel, beaches, discos, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops and supermarkets.
In addition to the above, Hurghada Marina, based in Sekkala, has a beautiful boulevard with a vast amount of leisure facilities. There is a wonderful promenade near Hotel San Andes Sea with comfortable benches and an open, panoramic view of the luxurious Red Sea.
You can also find plenty of cafes where you can have a good time with friends over a cup of fragrant karkade, which in Egypt, is simply incomparable.
With regards to property, Sakkala has a rich variety of housing:
- Luxury residential complexes.
- Apartments on noisy main streets.
- Apartment on quiet streets, away from the hustle and bustle, etc.
The area is suitable for both short term stays - i.e. holidaymakers as well as for long term stays - i.e. Hurghada residents.
