Egypt, eager to nurture its manufacturing sector and increase exports, will tender 6.4 million square meters (1580 acres) of land to develop industrial projects, the state news agency MENA said on Sunday.
The projects, located in eight industrial cities including Borg al-Arab near Alexandria and Sadat City northwest of Cairo, are expected to attract total investments of LE9.6 billion, the report said.
The tender will start on 20 September, MENA added, citing the country's trade minister.
In February, Egypt said it would offer 42 million square meters of land for industrial projects.
